Finding genuine World War 2 artifacts is a pretty big deal in the historical community. As more and more people from the World War 2 era die off, preserving items from one of the most divisive times in history is critical for us to never forget the sacrifices of the greatest generation. That’s why this discovery in Russia is creating such a buzz around the internet. Supposedly found in the Nevsky Pyatachok area of Russia, the item is intriguing people across the globe. A Nazi soldier fighting on the Eastern Front during World War II apparently buried his trunk of gear for safety, and never returned for it. Historians uncovered the trunk, which is a rare WWII time capsule.
The contents of the box hold quite the historical significance and possibly a whole lot of monetary value as well.
This thing definitely looks old and heavy. Unfortunately I don’t think there were a lot of pirates in Russia, so the odds of it being buried pirate treasure are pretty slim.

These are all World War 2 related artifacts.

This is a German Reichsmark, the currency of Germany during World War 2. You can also see something to do with the Nazi party on the red card.

It seems that whoever packed this was in a hurry.

These look like they were fresh from the factory.

As does this one. I wonder how they would smoke after all these years.

These bottles of rum would lend credence to the pirate theory.

A Nazi hat.

I do have my suspicions about this box of World War 2 artifacts. Much of this stuff seems in way to perfect of condition to be from almost 8 decades ago. We won’t know for sure until whoever found the box confirms that the articles are genuine or not. Finding something like this would be exciting no matter what though. If they do turn out to be genuine items, their worth could be substantial.
