Classic cars are amazing. The work and craftsmanship it took to make even a single car back in 1914 just before Henry Ford introduced the assembly line was daunting. They were only for the very rich and had the class and elegance that the rich expected. Cars have evolved over the years however, and the changes in hardware and overall style have made some very drastic changes, even when it comes to some of the most iconic vehicles we have. These 20 photos show the before and after images of cars from all time periods and how they have evolved with the changes in style and performance over the years.
We’ll start out with possibly the best, The Bugatti Veyron. One of the 3 fastest production cars ever made. Next to it is one of the cars that started it all for the company.

Does it get any better than two sexy McLarens right next to each other?

The Chevy Corvette, one of my all time favorite vehicles. The new ones look absolutely gorgeous.

Possibly two of the nicest cars ever made right here. The Mercedes-Benz Mclaren AMG. The one on the left is considered by some to be one of the most valuable cars in the world.

So much goodness in one set of photos. The 69′ Camaro SS is one of my absolute dream cars.

You could swap pretty much any Ferrari into this photo and it would be just as iconic. They are all that nice.

The Chevy Impala. I would personally take the older model, the new one just isn’t that great in my opinion.

The Mercedes-Benz Maybach, the choice of many a rapper a few years back. A symbol of luxury.

The Ford GT. Not much has changed on them, and they are still a piece of engineering perfection.

Bentley has been a symbol of luxury since they first opened their doors in 1919.

Rolls Royce is much like Bentley in that they have been known for absolute luxury since they were first introduced.

Cadillac has come quite a long ways from the car on the left.

You will never convince me that the new Mustangs look better than the older ones. One of America’s most iconic muscle cars.

BMW will always be a symbol for James Bond for me. He was always driving one when I watched the movies as a kid.

Just take in the beauty.

Who do you think would win in this face off of brothers?

Another Rolls Royce, there is a reason they are so damn expensive.

Look at that lineup.

I would take a Grand National in a heartbeat. Those things are beasts.

Mercedes are so nice. The AMG performance package is one of my favorite things you could ever do to a car.

The styling and technological advances we have made when it comes to vehicles are absolutely astounding. Newer isn’t always better however, when it comes to vehicles. Of the many vehicles that are pictured here, most of them I would take the older models. Cars aren’t built like they used to be. Everything is electronic and costs a crazy amount of cash to fix. Many of the older cars pictured could be fixed for not much money and parts weren’t made from the cheap materials they are now, so you just had less maintenance in general. No matter your stance though, these cars are absolutely gorgeous no matter what generation they come from.
