For people who live where winter rears its ugly head for about half of the year, it’s always a little funny when you hear about places like Oregon and Georgia who get a little bit of snow and the whole state shuts down. But then when you think about it, they aren’t necessarily prepared for it in anyway. They don’t have snow plows or salt to cover the roads. They don’t really even have the manpower to cover such bizarre weather for those areas. While thousands of students were stranded at school in Alabama and Georgia because of too much snow, a man named Roger Day, spent hours doing something truly heroic for the scared kids.
While the entire state was completely shut down by the storm,
And no one could pick up their kids from school,
Roger Day entertained the children, keeping them calm.
During the ice storm, Roger Day spent hours doing Skype concerts to entertain the children.
Roger is no stranger to entertaining kids. He has been performing in schools across the South.
The kids didn’t end up going home until 3:00pm the next day. But thanks to Roger, the kids enjoyed themselves in such a scary situation.
We all know how hard teachers, so they should also be recognized for helping out students all the time. They helped keep these kids calm, along with the help of Roger Day. It turned a scary situation into a bearable situation for these young school kids.
