Looks like the aliens are becoming environmentally conscious and finally decided to leave our crops alone. Now they’re leaving their awe-inspiring geometrical designs in our snow. As all of you non-believers have probably guessed, we’re not really talking about aliens here. We’re talking about British artist Simon Beck. I first heard about Simon Beck from a local newspaper article. He was creating one of his amazing works of art at Powder Mountain Ski Resort in Eden, Utah. I really took notice because it’s not everyday that you hear about an international artist creating a giant piece of artwork so close to home. I decided to take a closer look and I became quite interested in his numerous pieces of temporary art. Simon Beck has produced over 200 artistic creations. So, to save you time, I’ve gathered a few of my favorites that you can view below.
Fractal Flower – Look at how large this flower is.

Triangles –

Such amazing accuracy is needed to produce these pieces of art.

Simon Beck even throws his design up onto the banks.
Snow Church – Most powder enthusiasts that I know consider the snow their church.

3D Cubes – The repetition and conformity must be difficult.

Snow Stars Overview – Simon finds fields of untouched snow.

Snow Stars Center Point – He puts amazing detail into every work of art.

View With The Mountains – This creates an awesome effect.

Road Next To The Snow Art – This one looks less alien and more tribal.

People On The Road – Admiring the over-sized artwork.

Snow Flower – Like an optical illusion, this design almost appears to move.

Lots Of Circles Spiraling –

Twisted Snow Star – This twisted star is one of my favorites.

Finishing The Twisted Snow Star – Every last, time-consuming detail comes together to create the masterpiece.

Maple Leaf – Making the Canadians proud.

Coyote Howls At The Moon – This is much less of a geometrical work of art, but amazing nonetheless.

Fractal Diamonds – Look at how small the people are next to this one.

Crystal Lined Circles – That person is nothing but a tiny speck next to this massive artwork.

Quite A Trippy Pattern – Almost looks like a barber’s bad hair design.

Fractal Circles – So much time for art that won’t last.

Fractal Shutter – This one looks like a close up of a camera’s shutter in motion.

It really blows my mind that Simon Beck takes the time to create these huge pieces of artwork that will only be visible for a very short time, usually only hours to days. These amazing works of art really display his patience and grasp of geometric principles. I can’t tell you how many nights my friends and I would stay awake talking about the possibilities of life on other planets because of amazing phenomenons and media coverage of crops circles. Although his art has taken away most of the mystery of potential alien communication, Simon Beck is still creating magnificent works of art that can undeniably be classified as ‘out of this world’.
