Every fall in Moab, Utah, a group of adventurous people get together to explore. They choose this desert landscape for the elevated views, amazing trails, and perfect weather. About half of the people in their group are avid base jumpers and highlanders too. Their groups, who come from all around the world for the annual Turkey BASE Boogie and G.G.B.Y. highline gathering, which are both that have been going on for about 10 years now. For this year’s party, they took things to a whole new level with the creation of The “Mothership Space Net Penthouse” as they call it.
These enthusiasts built this incredible hammock which is over 400 feet high above the red canyons.

It was the best of both worlds. The highliners could walk across the 250 foot ropes to the other side.

While base liners could jump right through the middle of the hammock.

This incredible hammock took over 4 days to complete with the help of 50 different people.

Their friendships are extreme, adventurous, and unlike anything I have seen before. Their hopes are to make each year, going forward, bigger and better than the year prior. But I think this year is going to be a hard one to top. It was for sure a Thanksgiving to remember.
