The S.K. Pierce Mansion was built in 1875 by a chair manufacturer named Sylvester K. Pierce. He designed and built the famous Victorian home.
The S.K. Pierce Mansion has 10 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. It also has 11 foot ceilings, marble fireplaces throughout, and it still has all of the original windows, doorknobs, hinges, and floors.
The home is currently on the market for only $329,000. In some cities, you’d have a hard time finding a 3-bedroom home for that price.
The reason this home is having a hard time selling is because it’s listed as one of the most haunted homes in all of New England, not just Massachusetts.
Since the home was built, there have been seven different deaths documented. One of these deaths was that of a strangled prostitute.
Because of its haunted reputation, the home has appeared on television shows such as Ghost Hunters, Ghost Adventure, My Ghost Story, and 10 Most Haunted Places In New England. Some people have seen a little boy who stares out the front window, while others have seen a busy servant or a sad woman roaming the halls.
The home has been sold and used as various things over the years: a Freemason hall, a private home and even a brothel.

When one of the owners moved in they had no idea the house was haunted. They were ecstatic to be living in such a gorgeous Victorian home.
It didn’t take long for them to realize the house was definitely haunted. Within just a few weeks, they started to hear noises throughout the house. There were objects that were being moved by no one in the family, they heard chants and whispers, and also smelled foul orders in different parts of the house.
The longer they lived there, the stranger things got. They would see shadows darting from room to room, the master bedroom door would be knocked on while everyone else was in bed, and they even heard voices calling out their names. That is when they started to see full body phantoms throughout the house.
Even professional ghost investigators have seen crazy things in the S.K. Pierce Mansion. While recording different phenomenons in the house, they were able to catch a recording where the voices can be heard saying, “Squeeze every throat.”
There was another group of professional ghost investigators in the house, and they decided to ask the spirits a question, “Who is the current owner of this house?” In return, they recorded a voice saying, “Lillian”. This was, in fact, the name of the current owner at the time.
Even with all of the creepiness inside, this house still has a lot of appeal. The house has been painted by Norman Rockwell. On top of that, people such as Calvin Coolidge, Bette Davis, and P.T. Barnum have visited this haunted home.
