Photographer Simon Dell was out in his garden taking photos of birds when he noticed something below his feet. He said, “I pointed my camera to the ground and was shocked but very happy to see a very cute little house mouse standing up just like a meerkat in the fresh-cut grass.”
So he did what any photographer would do and start taking photos of the mouse. After a few minutes, he decided to go in the house and get some peanuts for the mouse. He ended up naming the mouse George and shortly after, starting building him a little shelter by piling small logs around a box and covering it with moss and straw.

He originally started by building a structure to protect the mouse against a cat.

But after he built the first structure, more mice began to show up.

So he started building more shelters and structures for the family of mice.

And he made sure to capture plenty of adorable pictures.

It almost seems as though the mice are showing their appreciation by posing for the pictures.

And every now and then, Simon prepares luxury banquets for the mice to enjoy.

Since then, Simon has grown very fond of the little mouse family and regularly updates their tiny village.

This adorable little mouse family is very lucky to have such a kind landlord in Simon. I kind of want to move into a little woodland house made up of logs and fruit now. Anyone else?
