Dogs have been on this earth for thousands of years now and in that time they have evolved to become “man’s best friend”. Dogs mean so much to us because, not only are they our best friends but they are also some of the most useful tools and companions we could be fortunate enough to utilize. The police and military use dogs for their incredible smarts and powerful noses. Farmers and ranchers use them to help control animals and protect herds. Hunters use dogs to flush birds and find antlers in the wild. Dogs are amazing but one of their most incredible traits is the one that makes people feel comfortable and be safe out in the world. Dogs make the best service animals and have proven to be helpful for those of us who have to deal with certain disabilities or health issues that prevent us from enjoying or even partaking in many things. Dogs truly are life-savers in so many different ways. Service animals are heroes who have a mission to help people who need them the most. Many people suffer from mobility limitations, anxiety, autism, hearing loss, emotional disorders and other conditions who have found comfort, assistance and a new approach to life thanks to a service animal. Service animals are tasked with many responsibilities but I was recently told about one service dog named Nala that I had to learn more about. Someone told me about a very special dog who might just be the happiest dog in the world. Nala has a very special job that comes with a great reward.
Nala’s mom is absolutely in love with Disney World and has been her whole life. Medical issues stood in-between Megan Leigh (Nala’s mom) and her love of visiting the happiest place on earth.

Nala helps her mom enjoy being independent but based on these beautiful photos, it is obvious that Nala might love Disney World even more than her mom!

Nala first went to Disney World when she was just 5 months old and has since become an annual pass holder and she is very well-known at the park. All the Disney Princesses look forward to her visits.

Nala has become quite the Disney World celebrity and everyone recognizes her and wants to give her some love.

According to Nala, Cinderella is the go-to princess for the best belly rubs, but Ariel is her favorite princess. The little mermaid is always first to invite Nala to sit on her bench with her. Nala says thank you with her sweet kisses.

Nala is already one of the happiest dogs int he world because she was lucky enough to be born as a Golden Retriever. Now put the happiest breed in the world in the happiest place in the world and you’ll see what true magic looks like.

“We are best friends and a team! She helps me, I help her,” Megan said. “Balance is important in working dogs. That’s why I believe it’s so important that she gets to have fun at Disney, too!”

Nala is a medical response service dog and is professionally trained to help with Autism and PTSD.

She is well known at the park as well as on Instagram. She boasts over 64k followers who love seeing pictures of her happy trips to Disney World.

Nala was trained to be around all different experiences, from different surfaces to walk on, being around crowds and she even is comfortable and happy around the fireworks display. She is right at home at Disney World and loves all of it!

Nala is an annual pass holder meaning that her mom takes her to the park A LOT!

You can spot Nala at Disney World in Orlando, Florida at least 2-3 times a week!

As long as there is no height requirement, service dogs are allowed to ride the rides with their owners. Nala loves feeling the air flowing across her face from the rides.

Nala even posted a video not too long ago that quickly went viral (see below) where she met Donald Duck and completely fell in love. She couldn’t stop cuddling him and the smile on her face says it all.

Nala is right at home when she visits the world famous park and everyone loves her. How could you not?

Nala’s mom suffers from a form of high functioning autism and sometimes gets overwhelmed with crowds. One of Nala’s duties is to circle her mom in heavy crowds creating some space between others.

One of Nala’s favorite rides is the people mover in Tomorrowland. The wind in her hair makes her smile every time.

Nala is a service dog first and she is a very hard worker. She has an important job to do and her experience in the world-famous park has given her a special skill keeping her handler safe and comfortable around the busy crowds at Disney World.

Nala is one lucky service dog and so is her mom Megan. Both of them get to enjoy the magic kingdom because of the bond they share.
