Have you ever seen a Kakapo Parrot? Chances are you have not because this beautiful bird is incredibly rare. The Kakapo is native to New Zealand but rarely seen.  In fact, their numbers are so low they are officially labeled as a “critically endangered” species. Researchers can count and list by name the number of Kakapos left on our earth. For this reason, when researchers found a rare Kakapo egg in danger, an entire team of professional rescuers leaped into action with high hopes.
