Robin Wight is a UK-based artist with an extraordinary talent. He uses stainless steel wire to create some of the most intricate statues I’ve ever seen. These fairy sculptures dancing with dandelions are his signature piece and they have been commissioned all over the world. From city centers to people’s backyards there is a good reason why these are becoming so popular. They are almost magical just as they are.

He uses thick stainless steel wire as the skeleton for his sculptures and tightly wraps thinner wire as the frame expands. Once the shape is formed he uses small gauge wire for the skin and details. He embeds a stone “heart” in each piece he does. Sometimes the heart will have a message engraved into it that will stay with the sculpture for eternity, giving it life and character.
