Growing up, I think every kid fantasizes about being someone else. Usually this someone else is a super hero or a movie star. Most of us outgrow this stage and become comfortable with who we are and what we were born with. Other times, we may mimic our fantasy persona and dress up during Halloween. Well, this isn’t the case for a Venezuelan man named Henry Damon. This 37-year-old man is absolutely obsessed with the super villain, Red Skull, from Captain America. For those of you who don’t know, Red Skull is the arch nemesis of Captain America and made his first big screen appearance in 2011 with the debut of Captain America: The First Avenger. Red Skull was part of a flawed science experiment, leaving him with an unusual skull-shaped face. It also gave him superhuman strength, but left him without a nose and left him with a reddish hue to his skin. Henry Damon decided to take his obsession with Red Skull to a level that I, honestly, have never seen before. Just wait until you see this Red Skull transformation.

Before the entire process began, Damon already had quite a few subdermal implants on his forehead. That was when he decided to have part of his nose removed to give the transformation an entirely all too real feeling.
Not only did he have part of his nose removed, he also tattooed his eyeballs black and added red and black face tattoos in order to look just like the comic book villain.
Damon ended up meeting Emilio Gonzalez, who was a medical school drop out but specializes in tattooing and extreme body modification. Once they officially met, Damon knew this was the opportunity he had been waiting for. Damon’s friend, Pablo Hernandez said, “He has loved comic books since he was a kid and always dreamed of being Red Skull, but never got around to making the dream a reality.” Before Gonzalez would perform any surgeries, they ensured that Damon was healthy, both physically and psychologically. He was required to undergo many physical & psychological tests before making the transition.
Gonzalez said, “Henry aka Red Skull is physically and intellectually healthy. He’s an excellent son, husband, and father who has an extreme taste for body modification.” That last part may be a bit of an understatement.
“Most of my customers know that body modification is the last step of body art, everyone knows very well what they want and as well as Henry, many of them are waiting for me for many years to make their dreams a reality,” says Gonzalez. It should be noted that Damon is not completely done with his Red Skull transformation, but he is getting there.

This is pretty insane! I’ve witnessed a lot of crazy things, but this may just be the craziest transformation I have ever seen. Whether you agree with this or not, he’s doing what he wants and doing whatever he can to fulfill that passion. And he’s not really hurting anyone by doing this, just taking his love of Red Skull to the absolute extreme.
