A mother of three recently became single due to some terrible news. Sonia Barton, 47, from Belper in Derbyshire was in what she thought was a happy marriage until her now ex-husband broke some news to her. She is a children’s entertainer and a very happy loving person. She is not the vengeful kind, but when she found out her husband was caught cheating on her, she decided to do something to make her smile. She has lived in the same house for over 13 years and decided it was time for a small change. She saved up and got to work on a transformation that would highlight her lifestyle and make her smile after her world had just been shattered.
Sonia was a happily married woman with a colorful personality. She is a children’s entertainer as well as a mother of three.
She claims that her ex-husband was cheating on her so she decided to break things off and move on with her life.
She has lived in the same house for 13 years and decided it was time for a small kitchen makeover. She had an idea though that would remind her that she’s better off without him while striking a little vengeance.
She decided to redo the kitchen floor with a unique twist. A special element that would remind her of her growth and moving forward.
The whole project cost a little over $2000 and took nearly a year to create. She had to do it in sections so she could still use her kitchen. She divided the floor off into sections and created a unique feel to each section. This is truly a custom floor.
She made sections with tiles and filled the sections with unique and colorful items.
The cherry on top is the fact that she used her ex-husbands rare record collection. She took something he loved and decided to seal it in her floor forever.
She laid out over 5,000 small colorful flowers and other unique colorful things and covered the entire kitchen floor in epoxy.
She says that every time she walks into her kitchen the bright colors and the now useless records make her smile and giggle.
She’s obviously very proud of her newly remodeled kitchen as she should be. It turned out great and everyone that has seen it loves the idea.
They all claim that it matches her personality perfectly. The record collection included records from Dire Straits, Jets Yazz, Hands Up, Showaddywaddy and Paper Lace. Her ex-husband refuses to comment on the situation but it is obvious that Sonia is healing nicely from her breakup and moving forward on her ex’s record collection.
