For me, my favorite toy growing up was my Cabbage Patch Doll. I am not sure what it was about that special doll that I loved so much. Maybe it was the real life features of a real baby, maybe it was how easy it was to carry with me wherever I went. Who knows, but I know so many other young children felt and still feel the same way. Created in 1978, the Cabbage Patch Kids franchise is the most popular and longest-running doll franchises in America. As a parent, when announcing the birth of your child, something unique is typically what most parents go for. These parents decided to take their love for Cabbage Patch Kids and create a baby announcement like no other.
It all started with a box.

First, he had to fit the box to fit over the stroller. Safety first, people.

He then covered the entire box with yellow cardboard

To make it appear more uniform, he spray painted the box yellow too.

Now it was time to make the yarn hair that is a feature of a Cabbage Patch Kid.

One fun fact, these parents stated they made this up as they went along.

The wig is ready and complete.

And it is a perfect fit, even though the baby doesn’t seem too amused.

Now for the painting details on the box, crucial part of a Cabbage Patch Kid.

She is even authentic too.

The final result, an adorable birth announcement.

These parents took their creativity and made something unique. I think these pictures are something they can look back on and admire their hard work. After all, nothing is better than a real life Cabbage Patch Kid. I don’t think it could have looked more like a real Cabbage Patch Kid, either. I think it’s safe to say this dad won the challenge by his friend. It’s adorable.
