He loves Star Wars more than most people and wanted to share his passions for science and Starr Wars with the campus by transforming the Zweibrücken Observatory into a giant R2-D2. He enlisted the help of a team made of his talented peers to paint the giant observatory. What a perfect structure to turn into R2-D2. The observatory can be seen for miles around and it has attracted Star Wars fans from miles away. After seeing this, I think all observatories should be painted as R2-D2’s and Minions. Don’t you agree?

This isn’t the first time an observatory has been painted like R2-D2 however. In 2010 some students painted the observatory at Carleton College in Minnesota although the quality isn’t quite the same.
