Wine drinkers rejoice! You can now book a trip to Portugal where you stay in an oversize wine barrel surrounded by a working vineyard.
It’s called Quinta da Pacheca and it is a 280-year old wine estate with suites that include a circular double bed and bathroom with walk-in shower. The quirky hotel rooms can be found in Douro, Portugal, at the Quinta da Pacheca estate.

There are also skylight windows and a private terrace.

The pine-wood barrels were designed by property owners Paulo Pereira and Maria do Céu Gonçalves and are exact replicas of the ones used at the estate.

A vineyard representative told the Metro: “Quinta da Pacheca created the wine barrels as a bold architectural project of suites to reinforce the originality of the wine tourism offered at the site.

“In an idyllic romantic setting, these wine barrel rooms will provide visitors a unique experience to the nature and significance of the Douro wine region.”
Each suite is fully air-conditioned and fitted for Wi-Fi. You know, so you can Instagram after drinking wine all day.

Wine lovers can then leave their cabin to explore the 140-acre vineyard before trying some of the wines themselves, including red, white, rose and even port.

They also have their own on-site restaurant for guest to try local wine as well as jam and olive oil.
