Imagine going into work one day only to find out your patient was so big it required 12 different doctors to carry him to your table. What would be going through your mind? UH OH, maybe? Read on to see how this rare doctor visit went.
Meet Boris the Polar Bear from Tacoma.

Boris was brought into the doctors to be examined.

Because he was so large, it required 12 different men to bring him in.

He was tranquilized and sedated in order to keep him on the table.

Boris has had a rough life. He is 27 years old and was forced to perform in the Mexican traveling circus.

In 2002, animal rescue groups saved Boris and moved him to the zoo in Tacoma, Washington.

During the exam, the doctors removed a mass from his eye.

Boris was found to be in very good condition minus the mass on his eye, which was successfully removed. He also has a little bit of arthritis.

Pretty good for being 27 years old.

Over a dozen doctors helped with the exam, all of them worked for free.

I am so glad to hear Boris received a clean bill of health. It always makes me sad when I hear stories of animals being mistreated.
