Photographer Lindsey Villatoro is an event photographer who enjoys photographing babies, families, children and weddings. Her focus is capturing loving moments that a family or friend can cherish forever. Love is always expressed through these beautiful moments but sometimes the most powerful emotions are brought forth from terrible tragedies. Sadly this is the case for Emily and Richard Staley. They contacted Lindsey because of one of the services she offers called “Forever Loved” sessions. These sessions were created by Lindsey to preserve beautiful memories of loved ones who have recovered from a tragedy or injury, who are facing a terminal illness or perhaps for someone who has passed away. The couple contacted Lindsey for the latter. This heartbreaking story is full of love and compassion. Emily and Richard Staley wanted to preserve the memory of their beautiful baby girl who passed away before birth.
Emily and Richard Staley found out their beautiful baby girl had passed away from her umbilical cord wrapping around her neck in the womb on Friday July 25th, 10 weeks before she was due.
“Friday afternoon as I was preparing for my weekend sessions with all 3 of my girls I got an email from a girl named Kelly telling me her sweet friend just found out her baby had died. She told me some details and asked if I would contact the family to be there in their time of need. Given the circumstances, you only have a very short window to truly capture these forever moments. I rushed out of the store I was in and called this woman.
When this mother answered the phone she could barely speak. She knew I was calling which I’m sure was the only reason why she answered the phone. She was short of breath, crying uncontrollably between her words and could barely even speak.” – Lindsey Villatoro
Emily and Richard wanted Lindsey to capture their baby girl so they could keep her loving memory with them forever. Lindsey was happy to help this family in their time of need.
Doctors delivered the baby girl via C-section and these are the images that Lindsey captured as she shared tears with the family.
Emily and Richard wanted to share this so that all families going through this same tragedy would know they are not alone in such a difficult time.
