Reddit user Martinus recently posted a project to Imgur. He found a very creative and affordable way to make his empty wall into something very unique.
He started with just a boring empty wall in his kitchen.

He then got together just a few supplies for his project: Two brushes, one 2mm and one 12mm and a small paint roll. He added 10% water to get it thinner for easier painting.

His secret weapon is this projector. He then picked out a very cool picture, a still from the movie Seven Samurai by Akira Kurosawa.

He then loaded the picture into links cape and converted it into a black and white vector graphic.

He then projected the picture onto his wall. He also made sure that the project did not move for a few hours.

He turned the image into a negative to make it easier to paint.

He then began painting. He starts with the small brush to make sure the end result is what he wants. He then painted all the borders with the 2mm brush and then finished by filling in the rest with the 12mm brush and then the roll for the large parts.

The completed work took about 7 hours of non-stop painting.

The final result is awesome!

I absolutely love this idea and artwork. I think I know what I’ll be doing this weekend.
