Pets are part of our family. They come with us to outdoor activities, eat off our plate and sometimes even sleep with us. And for several people, they are even part of Christmas family photos. That is, assuming you can get them to actually pose for the photo. Well one dog owner, Liam Beech was able to not only get his dog to pose, he got 17 (yes, SEVENTEEN) of his dogs to pose AND wear festive jumpers. It’s pretty impressive.

Liam somehow managed to line up all 17 of his sausage dogs for this incredible Christmas photo.

He included dog Santa, dog elves and even a dog reindeer to line up on the stairs.

But he does say it wasn’t that simple to accomplish this photo.

He said, “I have done pictures of the dogs previously, dressed up for Christmas on the sofa and thought, ‘I need to top them.’ So I thought I’d do it on the stairs this year. I thought it would be funny to see them all dressed up in their little outfits.”

But after a solid commitment, he was able to get his 17 sausage dogs, Buster, Daisy, Ziggy, Wallie, Zac, Bonnie, Saffie, Duke, Diamond, Ruby, Kizzy, Sammy, Kansy, Kiki, Lottie, Benji and Dudley in the photo.

The photo above is from a family photo that he did last summer. He said his family grew to 17 after his sister saw a local ad for dachshund puppies. After getting their first puppy, Sammy, they then got a new one named Kizzy so that Sammy had a friend.

He then added Bonnie and Ziggy and that’s when the collection really started to grow. They started breeding their pedigree dogs.

He said when he first started breeding his pups, his intention was to sell the puppies to new homes, but Liam and his family always got too attached and could never say goodbye.

He said it took about 45 minutes to set it up this year.

He also said, “Once they were on the stairs it took ten minutes to get the picture using a squeaky ball and a bag of treats this time around. After a while on the stairs with their jumpers on they began to fall asleep so I had to work hard at keeping them awake and looking at the camera.”
