Amarildo Silva has always had a passion for turning trash into things people could use again. Two years ago while he was trying to find a way to make money off of his passion, he realized he could turn the old tires littering the streets into pet beds.
Not only is Silva making money, but he is also reducing the amount of garbage that litter the streets of Brazil.

The man works out of his backyard.

He even has an entire room in his home dedicated to storing old tires.

Silva washes, cuts and paints each tire by hand, making each one unique.

He got his idea after noticing that stray animals often use old tires to provide shelter.

Look how sweet each design is!
Also…puppies!

Looks like these repurposed tires work well for playtime as well.

And they are not just for dogs. Kitties love these custom beds too.

Awwww, so cozy.

Branca looks really proud of her pretty-in-pink bed.

The dog on the right doesn’t seem to thrilled to be sharing with her sister. She wants her own tire bed!

Well, this is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen.

Silva also creates planters out of the old tires.
