There’s no reason why everyone shouldn’t be able to enjoy their vacation, regardless of their age. The lifeguards at Orange Beach in Alabama makes sure that everyone can enjoy the beach… no matter what.
95-year-old Dottie Schneider recently went on a vacation with her daughter to Orange Beach and was looking forward to spending time on the beach. Unfortunately, once she got there she realized it would be very hard to navigate her wheelchair through the beach sand.
That’s when a lifeguard noticed her and decided to help her come up with a plan so that she could enjoy the beach.

The lifeguard then gave her a ride to the beach so that she could relax. He then realized she was going to be there for a week.

That’s when he gave Dottie the office’s number so they could inform them when they were ready to go to the beach each morning so they could have someone assist them each morning in getting to the beach.

The lifeguards shared some photos on their Instagram saying, “Lifeguards are public servants and we could not be happier to help provide this service. Ms. Dottie Schneider recently visited us here in Orange Beach at the age of 95 in hopes to enjoy the beach but was unable to walk through the sand on her own. Every day for one week Lifeguards would meet Ms. Dottie and her family to help assist her down to her beach chairs, then at day’s end escort her back to the condo.”
