Massive Boulder In Italy Destroys A 300-Year-Old Home

We often think of our homes as a place of safety, a nest for our children and families to grow old in. Our house is somewhere safe we can call home. Home is your personal space where you can get away from the hustle and bustle of the world and unwind a little, almost like your very own personal fortress or castle. This was not quite the case for one man living in Italy. As you could imagine, this homeowner was pretty shocked and scared when he looked out his window and saw giant boulders rushing down a mountainside heading straight for his house! Here are the pictures of this terrifying event.

This boulder had come rolling down a nearby hill and barely missed his house. Luckily, no one was hurt.

There wasn’t just one giant boulder that came towards his house though. There were quite a few!

A giant rock destroyed the house’s barn before coming to a stop in the vineyard. However, it could have been way worse.

When the home owner originally looked out, there were a few boulders careening towards his home. The first one stopped with only inches to spare.

Can you imagine seeing these giant boulders rushing toward your 300 year old home? Luckily the only thing really damaged were the barn, and of course, some of the vineyards, but everyone was safe and unharmed. Things could have been much worse.

Check out some aerial footage of the damage caused by these massive boulders.

It is amazing to me that nature can dislodge these massive boulders and send them down the mountainside towards homes that have been there for centuries. I could only imagine the shock and horror these home owner’s felt when they saw the boulders headed their way. I’m glad nobody was injured and the barn can certainly be rebuilt. It might not have the same character or materials as before, but it does make for a very good story.
