Kyle Thompson was a shy boy from the suburbs of Chicago who went to college and had a job as a pizza delivery boy. Not even a full year later, Kyle became a recognized and desired young photographer with a distinct style whose work created a huge buzz on the Internet. Thompson’s path to becoming an amazing photographer should be an amazing source of inspiration to anyone who has a dream to do something they love.
Using himself as the main character in almost all of the shots, Kyle creates fantastic alternative realities full of signs, symbols, and deeper meanings.
He said he feels more like a writer manifesting his thoughts and moods through visual art than a photographer.
He dropped out of school at 19 to pursue his dream to be an artist.
He had zero formal training in photography.
Kyle said that his dream location is a ghost town.
He sketches all of his concepts and then pre-plans his photo-shoots.

In December he started a 365 days project and has been taking a self-portrait everyday since. Kyle has some pretty big life plans.
