Located in Llanera, Austria the Church of Santa Barbara is a gorgeously designed church built in 1912. The architect behind this master piece was Manuel Del Busto. It’s fairly certain that if he were to lay eyes on the inside of his creation today, he definitely wouldn’t recognize it. This over 100-year-old church had fallen into major disrepair over the years. It was abandoned for many years until recently when an interesting group of people got a hold of it and decided to bring life back to this amazing cathedral. What they did with it may have some people up in arms, but I for one think it’s a great way to reuse an abandon building. You seriously won’t believe the inside of this place.
This is the outside of the Church of Santa Barbara. It looks like a normal church, though it has seen better days.

A group of people decided that instead of this building just sitting unused, they wanted to do something incredible with it. Boy did they ever.

Welcome to the Kaos Temple. This is quite possibly the most unusual and incredible skatepark in the entire world.

Most people think of stained glass windows when they think of a church. Well the interior of this church has what appears to be stained glass everything, even the walls!

Artist Okuda San Miguel was the man who created these amazingly colorful murals that line all the walls of the church.

It definitely has the look of a legitimate skatepark, complete with Red Bull signs.

Thanks to the renovations done to the cathedral it is seeing patronage again. Though not for the reasons it was originally constructed.

The murals really are incredible. It definitely gives the church a completely unique vibe that fits with the skater culture.

I would have died to go here when I used to skateboard.

This would definitely be the hang out spot if you were a serious skater.

I haven’t been skateboarding in probably about 8 years, but I would really like to visit this place. Even just to see the inside and appreciate the art that Okuda San Miguel created in this place. It is definitely a one of a kind skate park in the world. What are your thoughts?
