Jon Bon Jovi has been playing music for a very long time and he’s very well-known for his band Bon Jovi. But very few are aware of his life outside of his music career. In 2006, he founded ‘The Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation’ which helps raise awareness to poverty and the homeless. This foundation opened ‘JBJ Soul Kitchen’ which allows people in need to be able to eat without paying for their meals.

Jon Bon Jovi opened his first JBJ Soul Kitchen in October, 2011 in New Jersey.

His second location was opened in 2016 in Toms River near the area that was affected by Hurricane Sandy in 2012.

The main mission of both of his restaurants is to help people who can’t afford their meals.

There are no prices on the menu and those that can afford a meal are encouraged to donate $20.

Those who are unable to pay for their email are encouraged to volunteer at the restaurant.

His foundation has already served 105,893 meals of which 54% of those meals were paid with donations and the remaining was earned by volunteers.

The restaurants do not require any kind of reservation for those wanting a meal.

But they do give preference to those who cannot afford a meal.

The menu includes 3 local American courses and is organically grown in the restaurant’s garden.

They have even offered free meals to government workers when they were affected by the Federal government shutdown back on January 21, 2019.

It is amazing seeing people use their celebrity status (and money) to make the world a better place.
