At first glance on a few of these pieces, I thought I was actually looking at a picture of a person swimming through a crystal clear swimming pool. Then I saw another that had a man who looked like he was interacting with the person however it was obviously a picture. It looked as though this man was painting people as they swam through the water. These paintings are called hyperrealistic paintings and they definitely deceive your mind. The detail is so intricate that your brain has a hard time differentiating between reality and a work of art. Number 14 took my breath away. It literally looks like he’s leaning over a pool edge holding his brush in front of a woman swimming under water. I can’t get over the detail, the bubbles coming up, the ripples in the water refracting light. Simply amazing and his talents are definitely recognized.
