Most homeless men typically do not like the situation they are in, but due to terrible circumstances, they are stuck and begging for a second chance at life. In Slovakia, the homeless usually use the train stations to sleep and dwell. But for now, their lives have changed. The station gave them uniforms to wear and now have them handling baggage for customers.

Civil Association Against the Stream helped set up the men with their jobs in the station.

Coordinator Peter Kadlečík stated that paying off debt is the homeless’ biggest issue.

Joseph, one of the homeless men that was offered a job stated, “I want to help people, because they help me.”

What an incredible story of second chances. These men are so grateful for their opportunity to get back in the public and make the world a better place.
