I love learning new things about cities. There are always hidden places or traditions that are celebrated within those cities that not many people are aware of. I don’t know about you, but traveling the world is a dream of mine. To be able to see the hidden gems and secrets that each town has, seems intriguing and also very inviting to me. One of the places I would love to visit is Boston. The history and charm of that city seems so beautiful. And then I heard about a unique hidden store in Boston that most of their residents don’t even know about. From the outside, this convenience store looks like nothing special, right? But once you step inside, it’s actually much more.
This is the little grocery store from the outside.

It looks normal with the door open to look inside.

Just your typical store with groceries and supplies.

With a typical soda machine in the corner.

But wait, that’s not a normal soda machine. It’s a hidden door!

It leads to a complete different store called Bodega.

A very nice looking store with clothes and shoes.

Lots of designer shoes and clothes.

More clothes.

More info: Bodega
The only way to get to the Bodega is through the soda machine. But walk to the back, trigger a tile in the floor, and watch as the Snapple machine slides away to reveal a sleek dark-wooded retail space, chock full of some of the most sought-after footwear, designer street wear, and sportswear around. Neatly appointed, lacquered shelves hold the latest in street and skate fashion from shoes to shirts to jackets. The whole space is clean and orderly in a far cry from the cramped store front.
The outside of the shop does not advertise its presence, so any sneaker-heads looking for some retail therapy will just have to hear about it via word of mouth.
