Sometimes animals are just so cute you want to kiss them! This is especially the case when it comes to cute and cuddly dogs and cats. But what would you do if you had the opportunity to pick up an alligator snapping turtle? Would you pick it up? Get a picture? How about giving it a kiss? Well, if you think you would do the first two, but the third one doesn’t sound like a good idea, you are a very smart person. In the Chinese Fujian Province, a man had the opportunity to see a snapping turtle up close and personal. For whatever reason, he thought it would be a great idea to kiss the pet. Now it’s time to let the pictures do the talking.

Here he is holding the turtle and taking plenty of photos.

This is insane. The alligator snapping turtle bites so hard that it’s been known to amputate fingers in a single bite.

The before and after pictures of this man definitely show you just how hard the bite is of the alligator snapping turtle.

The turtle that was pictured was a pet that was about to be released. It’s not native to China and has been damaging its ecosystem. These specific turtles do require a lot of expert handling, and I’m guessing that doesn’t include kissing. It sounds like he is pretty lucky that the turtle didn’t take off part of his lip too. Moral of the story, never kiss a snapping turtle.
