Grilling Steak Over Hot Lava Might Just Be The Manliest Way To BBQ Ever

In order to get the point of how insanely awesome the below video is,  I feel I need to provide you with some facts. Lava is the molten rock expelled by a volcano during an eruption, and the resulting rock after solidification and cooling. Typically lava reaches temperatures from 1200-2500 degrees. Recently, a group of students and geologists from Syracuse University did the unthinkable as part of their Lava Project. They decided to take the heat from lava, and use this to make some one of a kind food with it. They grilled steaks in a few short minutes, heated up some hot dogs in just seconds, and even dipped their steak in the lava for more of a ‘well done’ steak. Now, let me ask you this, how do you like your steak cooked?

How cool was that? Did you make it all the way till the end when they actually started dipping the steak directly into the lava? Or reach the point when the flames start rising from the lava? What an interesting concept and it makes me wonder how delicious the food was to eat. Who knew you could grill steaks with lava?
