Australia is on my bucket list of places to travel before I die. It seems like an amazing location to soak in culture and get a glimpse at some amazing wildlife. Australia is also known for having some of the most vicious, and straight up frightening creatures on the planet. Giant insects, enormous crocodiles, and poisonous snakes are abundant in the land down under. I’ve seen some images of pretty terrifying animals in Australia, but these ones may take the cake. A man walked out of house one morning, and was confronted with a nightmare scenario. This is when you have to make the tough decision on whether of not you burn down your home.
Do you see it? It’s pretty hard to miss.
Nope, this should not even be allowed to exist. This is apparently a Golden Silk Orb-Weaver spider. The man explains that it was over 6 inches in width.
I’m just going to call it demon spawn from now on though. For the most part they avoid interaction with humans, and will only bite when they feel threatened. That is of little comfort to me however.
Though this breed of spider isn’t venomous, I still would never want to be on the receiving end of a bite from this monster.
Things like this shouldn’t be allowed to exist. There is no reason the world needs a spider that big. It’s sole purpose in this world to scare the living crap out of anyone that comes near it. This won’t diminish my desire to visit Australia and explore the country for myself. I will be on the lookout for these monstrosities though, and will stay far, far away.
