I love animals, and it really doesn’t matter what kind. I find many animals that society sees as pests, rather cute. Mice and rats for example, I really don’t mind in the slightest (except for the diseases they can carry). There are certain animals that are seriously gross and disgusting though. Whatever is sitting in the cup below, definitely qualifies as something that could have been concocted in someones worst nightmares. I seriously don’t know how I would have reacted if I would have seen this disgusting thing sitting inside my house. Check out the pictures below, and try not to vomit.
This is what a man in Thailand found sitting inside a container in his home. It is a female Soil Centipede, or scientifically known as a Geophilomorpha.
Not too many insects bother me, but these things give me the serious creeps.
Each of these centipede’s has 27 leg bearing segments of its body. If you’ve ever seen a centipede, you know those little legs can carry these things pretty damn fast.
Though their sight is basically limited to see light and dark, their other senses allow them to be skilled hunters. With their poisonous bite, they can cause swelling, severe pain, and fever in humans.
This things looks like something out of the show Ahhhh, Real Monsters.
The centipede uses its legs to carry and protect its young. It looks like nursery from your worst fears.
I think we can all agree that this insect is absolutely terrifying, and we wouldn’t want it showing up anywhere near us. There is just something about all those legs that gives me the goosebumps. The first thing I thought of when I saw the original picture was that the middle portion of the centipede looked like a bowl of macaroni. Now that I know what it is though….gross.
