When famous sports players rally together to make an impact on a special fan, it is incredible. And that is exactly what happened to a dedicated fan named Rooie Marck.
A longstanding tradition for Feyenoord fans is to turn up in numbers at the first training session of the season, putting on a pretty incredible fire show and singing songs to greet the players.
For the season, the day was not just about the team. It was also about Rooie Marck. Too ill to even stand, Rooie was at the training session with family and friends on a hospital trolley.
He didn’t let his terminally ill disease affect his love for his favorite team.
But what he didn’t realize is how much his team loved him too. They paid an incredible tribute to this man. The players came out and shook his hand too.
All of the fans stood and sang “You will Never Walk Alone” to honor him.
3 days after this incredible tribute, Rooie Marck passed away.
