Cemeteries are not usually places that you think of when trying to go for a peaceful walk. In actuality though, they are probably some of the most peaceful places on earth. There is really nothing there to bother you. That doesn’t mean I still don’t get creeped out when I’m in one. After what this man in Alabama experienced in a local graveyard, you’re definitely going to walk a little faster the next time you’re near one.
Reddit user CynicalSoup decided to take a stroll through a nearby graveyard in his hometown in Alabama.
He was walking through the graveyard, because that’s about all there is to do… it’s a graveyard.
As he was walking, he kept noticing something. Many of the above ground vaults weren’t sealed properly.
Some of them appeared to have been broken into.
As he explored the area a little more thoroughly, he spotted something. His eyes focused, and he knew what he was looking at but didn’t want to believe it. Human bones.
I would have been sprinting out of there as fast as I could.
I wonder how many graves are in such disrepair as the ones he saw and what has been stolen.
Now I know bones in a cemetery are no shock to anyone. I mean it obviously makes sense that they are there. Actually seeing them in a cemetery is completely different though. That’s the one thing you’re never supposed to actually see in a cemetery. I wouldn’t be planning a return trip there anytime soon.
