9-year-old Joe Whale wanted to expand his artistic abilities by attending an after-school art class. This helped get his skills noticed by everyone around him, including the owner of restaurant ‘Number 4’ in Shrewsbury, England. He was invited to decorate the dining room and is now known as ‘The Doodle Boy’.
9-year-old Joe Whale always loved to draw, but he also got in trouble for always doodling in class.

According to Joe’s dad, he has always loved drawing.

He was even added to the Gifted Register at the age of 4.

When his parents realized his talented artistic abilities, they enrolled him in an after-school drawing class.

This is when his teacher noticed his talent and shared it on Instagram where it racked up more than 1.5 million views and comments.

And that’s when it got noticed by the ‘Number 4’ restaurant staff and the restaurant hired him to draw on their walls.

Joe spent about 12 hours illustrating the wall.

His dad drives him to the restaurant after school so he can continue drawing on the walls.

Joe has been given complete freedom to do as he wishes to the walls.

Joe is now known as ‘The Doodle Boy.

“They wanted to get Joe into their restaurant to complete an art piece on their wall, and it was in their main dining area, we were over the moon,” Joe’s dad Greg told The Metro. “I asked Joe and he, of course, leaped at the chance to do it so we have been going there after school where for a couple of hours a night he’ll put his creativity on their wall.”

He even has his own website now.

His dad also says, “Joe is a really talented little boy, he’s excelling at school, he’s a great footballer and cricketer, but drawing is definitely what he is most passionate about.”
