When it comes to our pets there always seems to be two extremes. We either have the smartest pets in the world, or perhaps the far opposite of that statement. I know for sure that I’ve had both types of dogs and both have been the best companions. Well if you thought you had the smartest dog in the world, I may have just found their match when I read this story.
Meet Chico. He’s one incredibly smart boy who lost his human and knew the best place to go for help.
He walked straight into the Odessa Police station in Texas all alone.
Apparently Chico may have just dropped in to say hello to his local law enforcement agency.
He walked straight in and placed his paws on the front desk. It appeared as if he was missing at first.
The officers thought he may be lost but after noticing his happy demeanor, as if he walked in without a care in the world, they realized he was just saying hi. He was on a stroll and decided to pop in.
He then walked out and proceeded to continue on his way home.The police station posted the funny interaction online and the story immediately blew up and gained a lot of attention. Here is what a lot of people had to say when they say the adorable dog had walked into the police station.
He should have brought in his resume! He looks like he’d be a great K-9 officer.
He’s even wearing his best collar.
Some might be upset with a dog wandering around. It’s good to see a supportive community.

The Odessa Police might want to start carrying dog treats at the station if Chico makes this a regular visit.

Chico sure has an adorable personality. He was out for a casual walk and wanted to pop in to say hello to the boys in blue. I’m sure they were slightly alarmed at first but once they noticed how happy Chico was to be out on a stroll, they knew he wasn’t in danger. The police made sure that when Chico left that he went straight home. He did because, of course, he’s the best boy!
