It is truly a shame how many abandoned dogs end up in rescue shelters. The resources that these departments have are limited, especially the funding. This means, sadly, that many dogs are euthanized, mainly dogs who have medical issues that are too costly to fix. This makes them less desirable for potential adopters. These dogs deserve a loving forever home just like any other dog alive. Gregory is a 2-year-old beagle who was scheduled to be euthanized but an angel of a man named Joe came to Gregory’s rescue just in the nick of time. Everyone knows just how special an adoption is, even if you’ve never adopted a pet. You can understand the bond that is formed. Well Gregory showed Joe his thanks in a very special way and we are all in love with this dog because of it.
Meet Gregory. He is a 2-year-old beagle who was scheduled to be put down.

Joe fell in love with Gregory at first sight. The pair was very happy to meet each other.

Joe signed the papers and promised to give Gregory a new forever home. On the drive home, Gregory started to realize that his life was about to change for the better.

Gregory, almost immediately, placed his head on Joe’s shoulder giving him big hugs the whole way home. Obviously proud and happy to be rescued. Joe’s adoption pictures quickly made their way around the internet and of course everyone was elated with the adorable actions of love.

I have a feeling they will be best friends forever!

If Joe was just a day later, Gregory would have met a terrible fate.

People who adopt and rescue animals have a special place in my heart.

Dogs shouldn’t be euthanized because we can’t afford the infrastructure to save them.

Every dog does deserve a chance at life.

Hopefully Joe’s warm heart inspires others to save an animal from euthanasia.

Gregory is heading home to two loving parents who will treat him with the love he deserves.

It’s a feeling that will never grow old for either of them.

Truly a perfect pair.

Beagles really are loving and incredible dogs. I’ve been in love with them ever since I read the book Shiloh in grade school.

There are so many puppies who have been abandoned for the wrong reasons. This seems to tarnish them and potential adopters think the dog has issues that will be difficult to deal with.

Gregory has a savior and truly deserved it.

Couldn’t have said it better myself.

Adopting an animal is one of the most rewarding things a person can do. Adopting an animal who is facing euthanasia is something that will change your life. There are so many animals who are facing similar situations so if you are looking for a new best friend, companion or working animal, try to consider adopting and saving a life.
