How To Build A Beer Tap And Kegerator Into Your Wall Because We All Need One

A man cave gives you a quick escape from the daily hustle and bustle of life which can include work, kids, your wife or girlfriend, and all the other headaches that come along with being an adult. But a necessity for every man cave is a creative way to store and dispense adult beverages, whether your preference is beer, wine, or liquor. Well that’s exactly what this guy did. After being sick of running up and down the stairs for a drink, he had a bar installed in his house. But this bar was definitely missing something. He had some wall space that wasn’t being used, and after a lot of thinking, he knew what he was going to do. He built his very own DIY kegerator. With this type of design, it could either go really bad or really well. Luckily for this guy, he had the skills to turn this spare wall into something amazing and convenient. Check this out.

As you can see, this is a very boring wall. There were no pictures on the wall at the time and he wasn’t sure what to do with this space. So it was great spot to put his DIY kegerator.

It turned out that this wall was a perfect place, and not just because it wasn’t being used. The backside of the wall was underneath the stairs giving him a great spot to store the kegerator without it being a complete eyesore and it would give him easy access to his lines and keg.

He started out by cutting out the wall where the beer tab would be placed. He knew it was going to work out great.

He wanted to keep this project looking clean, so he added a back panel where the lines will run through. They won’t be visible but will be easy to access if and when needed.

Rather than leaving it as a giant hole in the wall, he added some trim around the tap box to make it blend in nicely. Just wait until you see it all done.

This is a very important part of the project. It’s a cooling fan. It will keep the lines nice and cold, giving him a nice frosty beer with every pour.

This is the kegerator set up with the pressurized tubes installed so the beer will always be flowing. Nobody wants stale beer in their lines.

He finished the project by staining the wood with a nice dark stain, giving it an Irish pub feel. He then installed the tap and the drip pan to catch any spills. You wouldn’t want beer getting into your walls.

After hanging up a few pictures, this bar is now 100% complete! I bet he can’t wait to invite some friends over to break it in.

This project seems so simple and I bet he’s glad he decided to do it himself rather than hiring someone to do it for him. It turned out so great! Good for him. I hope he enjoys his new DIY kegerator. Are you ready to add one in your house?
