Getting the opportunity to go to your absolute dream college is not something that everyone is able to achieve. That’s why when you get the opportunity to do it, you do everything in your power to make it happen. That’s what this Reddit user named Jomini777 did when he got accepted into a school all the way across the country. He didn’t want to live in a dorm like a traditional freshman student, so he came up with a plan. He bought 1967 Airstream, and started renovating the whole thing so he could live in it instead of the dorms!

This thing could definitely use a renovation and an updated look.
The appliances were very old, and the space was not used efficiently at all.
He parked the Airstream in his yard, and got to work as fast as he could as his first semester was fast approaching.
He wanted to open up the space inside, so he started by removing some walls.
It definitely did the trick. It looks much better.
He did some moving and rearranging. He wanted all the kitchen cabinets to one side to make the kitchen area more functional.
He was going to paint everything, so he filled in and covered things he didn’t want painted.
He also took a day and added in all new flooring and counter tops. This thing already looks 10x better!
Then he masked all the windows and flooring for paint.
Then the whole interior got a fresh coat of white paint. A new paint job can do wonders.
It looks fantastic. I love the look the new floor bring as well.
He even added a wine refrigerator and a spot for a washer and dryer. This thing will have absolutely everything he needs.
He was even able to squeeze in a small desk so he would have some space to work…which is what you’re supposed to be doing at college.
The entrance may not look like much, but it hides the awesome living space inside.
He even remodeled the futon and gave it new fabric.
With this new look, you would never guess how old this thing really was.
The fold out table is perfect for when you have guests over.
This doesn’t even look like the same Airstream.
He still has other plans for this place too. He wants to add some molding and also replace the light fixtures.
This is quite the transformation!
This kid is going to be living better than almost any other freshman. He doesn’t have to worry about any invading his privacy, or even really telling him what to do. Being a college freshman is a wonderful experience. Having your own separate living space though? That would take things to the next level!
