We live in a day and age where people push their freedom of speech as far as they can. While this is usually a good thing, sometimes their way of expressing themselves can be considered a form of hate speech.
Controversial street preacher Dean Saxton has been spending his days denouncing homosexuality, preaching that Muslims are terrorists and stating students who wear yoga pants “deserve rape.” This is in addition to carrying signs telling women they deserve rape.
During one of his demonstrations in the video below, he used a megaphone to tell students they’re going to hell. Around the 7 minute mark, you can hear him get hit from behind with a bat. He was able to walk away with a gash on his head.
While we never condone violence, the internet had a lot to say about it by turning his own words on him – They used the exact words that he used to tell his crowds when he would preach on the street.
