Sometimes when you get stuck in the hustle and bustle of life, it’s hard to imagine stepping back and taking a break. Well, that’s just what Dan Price did! He has created the most magical, tiny, underground house. It’s pretty much only big enough for him, and that’s why he’s called “The Hobbit Man”. He basically lives in a hobbit hole deep in the Oregon wilderness. While some may think this sounds impossible, it’s perfect for Dan and his needs. Check out this awesome underground house.
That little door that you see below is the entrance to The Hobbit Man’s hobbit hole.

Dan has made some upgrades like the door and also the stone patio, but when you think about this place, it is just an underground hole turned into a house.

Getting in and out can be a wee bit difficult, but it’s a great reason for Dan to stay in shape.

Dan built this house into the ground as you can see by the picture above. He used the existing landscape as part of the structure.

Even though the house may be small to some, it does feel very cozy. He’s utilized the space really well.

He has used up every inch inside, making sure he has everything he needs.

This gives Dan a sense of peace and allows him to be one with nature.

He enjoys living in such a small area.

He has space for everything that he enjoys doing.

This place looks incredibly peaceful. Imagine sitting inside the home while the snow storm rolled in. That would be a sight to see.

Watch an interview with Dan below about his life that is full of peace and art. He seems pretty content with his living situation.
Would you be able to live in a home like this long-term? I think I could if I didn’t have a spouse, kids, or pets. It seems to fit one person just fine, as long as you’re not claustrophobic. And what a great spot to escape to and get completely off the grid.
