Many people think that people with Down Syndrome are unable to have children but that’s not the case at all. Women and in this case, MEN can indeed have children. A Syrian man with Down Syndrome named Jad Issa had a baby named Sader with his wife. On top of that, he raised the child to be a doctor.

Sader said he’s very proud of his dad because he raised him with the right values that turned him into the person he is today. He mentions he was never embarrased by his father or ever thought his family was different.

He also said that his father’s hard work at the local wheat mill is what made it possible for him to study to eventually become a doctor. He made sure to save as much as he could to afford it.

Sader eventually became a dentist which is a very high-paying job in Syria.

His dad would proudly introduce him to new people by saying, “My son is a doctor.”

His father never failed to fulfill his role as a father.

When Sader thinks about his childhood, he remembers nothing but good and happy memories.

As a child of a parent with Down Syndrome, Sader said it best, “We wish all people were able to accept that being different is not something to be ashamed of.
People with Down Syndrome are different but they have feelings, aspirations, a mind of their own, and they are capable of living a normal life when there is social acceptance and a society that is supportive.”
