Most young (and old) kids have loved superheroes from the time that they were very young. But for one young boy, his dad took it to a whole new level when he asked for the mask from the movie, The Mask. Redditor Skissored details how he made a near perfect match of this famous mask.
Here is the original mask that Jim Carrey wore in the movie The Mask.

And what it looked like when he was putting it on.

The dad began working on it by buying some Crayola Model Magic Foam and quickly sculpted it into a mask.

He then used a butter knife to get the lines.

He rested it over a mannequin head to shape it for the head. Afterwards, he let it dry for a couple of days.

Ready to paint, he just used acrylic paint he had around the house.

Because the foam will still a little squishy, it needed a couple of layers of hard clear coating.

First layer of paint was black to fill in the shadows in the cracks.

He then dry brushed over brown.

Then the green and gold paint.

The end result: one happy kid who can turn into The Mask.

His son quoting a famous line from the movie, “I’m changing into the mask!”

He built the entire thing for less than $30. It still amazes me the talent that so many people have. I wish I had the ability to just think of an idea and then build it like this dad. Let us know your thoughts?
