There is a cake competition that has been blowing minds and running annually since 2007. The Threadcakes Online Cake Competition just finished on November 3rd of this year and some of the entries are mind-boggling to say the least. Amateurs and professionals are called upon to bring their best edible works of art in cake form. The rules are simple, the creative cakes must be as edible as possible. This means that you are only really allowed to use non edible supports for the taller entries. There are only 2 categories in this competition, 2-D and 3-D! These are so real looking that it would be a shame to eat them. I can’t believe my eyes on some of these because they are simply incredible. I’m still in shock that these creative cakes are even edible! I don’t think I could bring myself to try a slice of one of these. Do you consider them food or art? Does everyone give a mean glare to the first person to bring a knife to one of these beautiful creations? As long as they have pictures I’m sure nobody will mind too much. I also wonder how long a cake like these would take to make.
