Worldwide ad agency McCann was recently commissioned by Sony to come up with a way to promote their new 4k TV and hired photographer Nick Meek to take on the incredible project. The team flew to Cost Rica and spent 2 weeks gathering thousands of lush and vibrantly colorful flowers and leaves that would be the medium in this brilliant display of color. Sony wanted to illustrate the brilliance of color and focus so they came up with an incredible idea that flooded the streets of Costa Rica with color. This is a beautiful sight that you would have been incredibly lucky to catch in person. Take a look below to see how Sony exploded a volcano of color over the streets of Costa Rica.
The team spent weeks using flower petals and other vibrant plant life to coat the city with color.

They used small explosions and the winds to propel the flowers out of a dormant volcano.

There were thousands of colorful pedals exploding into the sky above the city below.

Sony wanted to show the detail and brilliance of their new 4K tv and what better way than with thousands upon thousands of different colors flying through the sky.

A young boy skateboards through town on a floor of beautiful flower pedals covering the streets.

The flowers even made it into the streams and rivers and made colorful runways through the jungle.

The sky was raining thousands of lush vibrant pedals.

The color contrast is mind-blowing.

This is going to be the shoot of a lifetime for photographer Nick Meek. Can you imagine seeing an eruption of beautiful colors out of what you thought to be a dormant volcano? This awe-inspiring photo shoot is one for the books and Costa Rica will likely not forget these two weeks anytime soon. I sure wish I was there in person to see this.
