I’m a pack rat, I’ll fully admit it. I hate throwing things away. There is always some point in time where I find myself needing whatever it was I threw away, even if it’s something I got rid of 10 years ago. Well when a man named Scott Miedema, who is the COO of repocast.com, an auction website run out of Wayland, Mich. got an anonymous phone call from someone looking to sell a barn and the contents in it he thought it would just be another hoarders useless stash of stuff. Instead, he ended making a boat load of cash!
He didn’t find just a barn with useless junk, he found a small fortune!
It turned out to be a car lover’s dream.
It was a collection of dozens of classic cars!
“Many of the vehicles are rare and are still in great condition,” Scott said. “None of the cars have been driven in over 30 years.”
The bulk of the cars were 50’s – 70’s Thunderbirds.
There was also a 1932 Ford Model B and a 1947 Pontiac Convertible!
The cars are now for sale in Scott’s showroom in Wayland, Michigan.
He estimates that he could earn as much as half a million dollars from the sale of the cars!
Pretty nice pay-day for some old junk in a barn right?
Why can’t this just happen to me once?
Talk about a stroke of luck! I can’t imagine buying something and discovering it held something of incredible value. It would definitely be the best day of my life so far. Unfortunately I’m not in the business of buying old barns, so I think my odds are pretty low at this point in time.
