Security is always a concern when it comes to traveling, especially when visiting a different country. But what are countries doing other than increasing their police and security presence? Well a few years ago, Canada decided to implement a new security measure when it comes to the passports they were issuing. The updated passports now include hidden black light passport pictures. These images can only be seen under UV lights. They have also installed a biometric chip on the back cover of the passport to make their security that much tighter. You almost have to see these in person to believe them. They are pretty creative actually.
This flip book is part a passport issued by Finland. I would play with my passport for hours if it looked like this.
It’s so great to see countries making an effort to crack down on counterfeit passports, hoping to lessen the amount of illegal traffic using documents assigned from them. Not only are they increasing security, they are giving their citizens some amazing things to look at! They almost resemble a piece of art, instead of a passport. What are your thoughts?
