Have you ever dreamed of owning a piece of movie history? A prop from your favorite movie would be awesome to display in your home. Well what if you could buy an actual home that was used in a movie, pretty cool thought right? Well today is your lucky day. The movie Silence Of The Lambs is considered one of the best horror movies of all time. Sir Anthony Hopkins plays Hannibal Lecter like no one else ever could. He brings the right amount of sophistication to the role, while also being absolutely terrifying. He isn’t the killer we are talking about. No, we are talking about the one and only “Buffalo Bill” played by Ted Levine. Check out the house for sale that was used as Buffalo Bills personal killing grounds.
Here it is in all its glory. The house where Buffalo Bill lived and died.
This is what the house looked like while shooting the movie. It doesn’t seem much has changed.
The house was put up for sale last summer by the owners, Scott and Barbara Lloyd.
They are having trouble selling the house however. They recently lowered the asking price from $300k to $250k.
The house is located in a remote village of about 50 people. That may be a reason it is having trouble selling.
Multiple scenes of the movie were filmed in the house and around the property.
The inside of the house has a nice Victorian feel to it.
The kitchen has original wood floors, and a chefs island. The wallpaper needs to go though.
I really love this dark wood staircase. Buffalo Bill spent most of his time in the basement of the house, so he probably didn’t appreciate it as much.
There is even an old historical train caboose on the property.
Every time you would enter your home, you would be reminded of this creepy guy!
The property was the second most visited home on realtor.com last year. Unfortunately it is mostly by people who are just curious about the property and what it had to do with the movie, not any serious buyers. The owners are finally starting to see a little motion on the sales front however. Hopefully with the notoriety it is gaining they will be able to find a buyer fairly quickly.
