Parenting isn’t always easy. Kids don’t come with an instruction manual. There are a variety of punishments that parents have come up with over the years to try to get their kids back in line. Spanking, grounding, taking away privileges, time outs, soap in the mouth, and yelling to name just a few. In recent years, shaming has become more prevalent. And now there is a new punishment for kids. A-1 Kutz, a barber shop located in Snelville, Georgia, has come up with what they call, “The Benjamin Button Special.”

The first child to receive this new “punishment” was this boy. He belongs to a single mother that brought him into the barber shop to punish him for being naughty at school.
And this is the Benjamin Button special he got. They said this is what kids get for trying to act grown up. They give them a bald spot.
Barber Russell Fredrick believes this is a good alternative to physical punishment.
The look on this boy’s face says it all.
This is, of course, only temporary and is gone as soon as the sides get shaved off. But they believe it is shocking enough to change the attitudes of kids who are acting out.
Some behavior experts suggest this is the wrong way to do things and will cause more harm than good in the long run. A lot of parents are applauding this no-nonsense approach. The barber shop has been getting a lot of calls from fed up parents wanting to try this shocking approach. I won’t say if I agree or disagree with it, but it is definitely an attention grabber.
