Summer time is a time for fun in the sun, fishing, hiking, camping and barbecuing. It’s definitely my favorite time of year, and I spend every second I can outside. Barbecuing has been one of my favorite summer time activities ever since I was a little kid. My dad would always be grilling out in the backyard, and I definitely thought of myself as his helper. So my dad would slowly teach me how to do everything that came along with grilling. Not everyone had someone to show them the ways of the grill though. Unfortunately, this can cause some problems when they do decide to try to grill for themselves. A nameless girl on snapchat experienced this problem first hand recently. She documented her journey, and it is nothing short of hilarious!
She seems very confident. That’s good, grilling is not for the timid or the weak….well maybe for the weak, they need more protein.

She soon realizes that she may be in over her head though…and she lost part of an eyebrow.

Keeping the coals hot is a big part of trying to grill…..and she doesn’t seem to be having any luck.

4th time’s a charm maybe?

At least some people THINK she can barbecue.

Literally everything that can go wrong is.

We have patties! Not being able to flip them will definitely be a problem, but getting them cooking is a good start.

Wine is simple, all it requires is for you to drink it. Grilling is an art form, one that must be practiced and perfected.

I’m starting to wonder if she should just give up on this whole endeavor.

I honestly don’t know if I’ve ever seen a burger cooked like this. It looks like one side is burnt to a crisp, while the other side isn’t even cooked.

Rule of thumb for barbecuing, always make the patties bigger than you want them when they are cooked.

That’s a long time.

This is just a sad state of affairs right here.

It’s sad it had to end this way. It just seems these two weren’t made for each other.

I seriously laughed out loud in the office as I was reading this series of snapchats. The struggles this girl went through are definitely not limited to her however. I know many people who have no idea how to operate a grill. It actually makes me feel sorry for people. They never had anyone show them the sweet science that is grilling. Hopefully this hasn’t turned this girl off to grilling forever…but I can understand if it has.
